linux - webstorm license in virtualbox, ubuntu 14.04.1 -

i have installed webstorm 9 on oracle virtualbox , follwing error:

  • i have tried webstorm 8 , got same problem.
  • i have tried same on vmware, here had no problems.

any hint?

this exception means no license information has been found in ~/.webstorm9 folder , no gui environment exists webstorm can't open license dialog let set licensing options... work on linux workstation directly, or access remotely? please check if openjdk has graphical libraries included. i'd suggest trying oracle jdk instead
