java - Is it required to add org.apache.catalina.startup.VersionLoggerListener for tomcat 8 server.xml? -

i upgrading tomcat 8 7. required add listener?

<listener classname="org.apache.catalina.startup.versionloggerlistener" />

as far know listener prints application server , os informations. should first on list of listeners included in <server> element can ommited.
